My name is Yasmine, I am currently an economics student and President of AIESEC ULB. A year ago, I started this great adventure in the exchange department. What pushed me to join this organization are the values it defends. Following my volunteer work in Argentina for the defence of human rights, I was able to learn a lot about myself but also about others. Having understood the impact that such an experience can have on a person, I decided to get involved to encourage our generation to step out of its comfort zone. The vision I have for our committee is based on 3 main objectives: the implementation of a new iGT department, the improvement of the committee’s relationship with the university in order to make our cause heard, and the personal development of each member. My main motivation comes from watching the people around me grow day by day to become a better version of themselves. Being AIESECer allows us to benefit from the environment that offers us the opportunity to develop and acquire new skills. Nowadays, it is more important than ever to support ourselves and to open ourselves to others to build the society we would like to live in. AIESEC provides us with the tools to do this, it is up to each person to seize their opportunities .
