How much in advance should I start browsing for opportunities?
This depends on the kind of internship you are looking for. If you are interested in our Global Volunteer, you can start browsing from about 5 months in advance until a couple weeks before leaving for your destination. If you are looking for a professional internship (Global Talent or Global Entrepreneur), the application process will be a bit more intense. Your quest for the perfect internship can also start a couple months in advance, but will largely depend on your commitment and motivation.
I am only looking for an exchange starting in a year, or later. Is there something I can do already?
Hello, early bird! As you will notice when browsing through our online database, you will not find any internship suitable for these starting dates already. But don’t let this hold you back, we would be more than happy to send you abroad in a year! You can already browse through our online database to check out what type of opportunities we offer, so you can be super quick when you decide to go next year.
Besides that, don’t forget to follow our Facebook page AIESEC Leuven, for regular stories, updates and events so you don’t miss your opportunity next year.
To which countries can I go for an AIESEC exchange?
AIESEC functions as a worldwide network, making sure that you are always guided by one of our local offices. This means that we, as AIESEC in Leuven, can theoretically send you to all places in the world where AIESEC is present. Of course, we have some partner countries where we have sent previous interns, so don’t hesitate asking about them!
This is my first time applying for a job/internship/exchange, so I could use some help to update (or make) my CV.
No need to worry, AIESEC in Leuven is here to your service! Did you know that we have EnhanCV as our worldwide partner, a website that offers templates for making a good-looking CV? When you make a profile on aiesec.org, you can try it out yourself!
