Alumni talks about “Bitcoin”: an evening full of information!

On February 1st, we had the pleasure to welcome our alumni Hatim Frederic Richel to have a full presentation about Bitcoin. Our guest explained to the audience what is behind the Bitcoin fever and the blockchain technology.

Besides the presentation, we had the chance to have some books from Jean-Luc Verhelst for the ones who wanted to have deeper readings about the topic.

About Frederic:

Hatim Frederic Richel is currently a presales consultant and has been in the payment industry for over 10 years. He has been working in the payment industry in France, Morocco and Belgium, and has deep knowledge on mobile wallets, bankcards (prepaid, debit, credit), e-commerce, etc.
He is following the different market trends (wallets, general ledger/bitcoin, QR payments, PSD2, etc.) of all payment technologies.
He has been giving training for more than 5 years on payment solutions and has worked in the past as a back-office supervisor of a major Fuel card company.
He holds a degree in Commercial Engineering from HUB (EHSAL) – Brussels, Belgium.

 

About Jean-Luc:

Jean-Luc Verhelst is the author of Bitcoin, Blockchain and Beyond (2017). He works as a strategy and blockchain consultant for Monitor Deloitte and delivered multi-day trainings in EMEA and USA. He won the world’s largest blockchain hackathon of 2016 and his master thesis on Bitcoin received the award for best financial thesis of 2014 in Belgium.
